have some naked people~ these were drawn within the last 2-3 weeks.
i’m really enjoying my life drawing class, despite having to wake up at 6:30 for it. professor markowsky is so inspirational, just watching his pencil dance is ;aslkdjf;alksdjf eyegasm-mind-explosion.
Believe it or not, I think silhouettes are one of the hardest things to draw. is that just me?
Fun fact: When I was a kid, I used to have these recurring dreams where I’d either get my head cut off, or had to avoid getting it cut off. I say dreams because they weren’t really nightmares. Unsettling, sure, but nothing to wake you up in the middle of the night, covered in cold sweat.
ANYWAY
Just found some of my sketches for my Character Design class. I still really, really like Easter Bunny, Headless Girl and Knight Lady.
Oh and the silhouette thing is a tip our teacher gave us: when searching for characters, start by drawing them small, that way, you’ll see right away if they’re visually interesting or not, and if they aren’t, you didn’t lose 10 minutes sketching them. Clever!

Чуваааак все твои картинки эт чтото наипиздатейшеохуенное.. вдохновляешь дохуя просто.. круто невыразимейше!!)) воокак
Gretel is at long last complete! Ish. Her variations took two sheets because hair is fun, mainly.
I hope to like backlit scenes with reflections as much as I do.
So I found this dude, Nook, while looking for some new iPhone 4s wallpapers in this site, there were definitely some pretty fantastic pieces of art. This one in particular stood out. I’m a big dork when it comes down to anime, arcades and music, The Decade The Device illustration had it all!
Enter Nook, an illustrator based in Brooklyn, NY with a unique style combination of anime with and future/vintage (if that makes any sense).
I can’t believe I didn’t find his work before. And as far as I can tell, he’s kind of a big deal and his work is phenomenal enough to prove it.
I’ve posted some of my favourite illustration above.
Share, say hello and buy his prints.
